None other than James Madison--"The Father of the US Constitution"--a small,sickly young lad who initially went into politics after witnessing the persecution of Baptist street preachers. Over the course of his political career he argued, wrote and worked tirelessly for religious freedom--by which he meant complete separation of church and state.
